Lets get something straight here. The United States of America wants Israel to be the only country in the region with nuclear weapons - other than itself since the illegal invasion of Iraq. Using Israel as a proxy, a vassal, a wedge to carry through American policy by destabilising and intimidating the other countries in the region to secure their strategic oil interests. This has been a priority for the Pentagon's planners since Peak Oil became a reality for the USA's domestic oil production in 1970. Though publically rubbished in 1956 Hubbert's predictions had come true.

The amount of 'aid' that the USA gives Israel is staggering. In one year alone, 1997, Israel received $5,525,800,000. That's right 5.5 billion dollars. Don't believe it - read Richard H Curtiss . Such an amount given yearly comes with strings attached - "He who pays the piper calls the tune", as they say.

Israel is a militarised society and its economy would collapse if not propped up by American 'aid'.

Some commentators have insisted that Israel takes decisions by and for itself, that it doesn't have to defer to anybody. This may have a smidgen of truth to it in relation to Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine, the attempted genocide and ethnic cleansing. But even here the USA intervenes in that Israel could not do what it does and has done over the years without the tacit approval of successive administrations, witness the UN Security Council vetos wielded by the USA in favour of Israel. And not forgetting the donating of military materiel which enables Israel's murderous actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

USA control is more so for the wider regional actions like invading neighbouring states or using their nuclear weapons . The geo-political implications to the USA make it so and Israel will only act on the say so of the USA even while claiming they act unilaterally if necessary.

The war talk against Iran over the past few months is obviously co-ordinated between the USA and Israel and Britain - another country whose nuclear assets are in vassalage to the USA. On the 25th January 2007 at 07.50hrs the BBC Radio4 flagship news programme 'Today' carried an interview with Israel's former prime minister and leader of the Likud party Benjamin Netanyahu. In it Netanyahu called for the Iranian prime minister Ahmadinejad to be tried for war crimes for denying the Holocaust and compared him to Hitler (again) and Iran to Nazi Germany (again). "..the 1930s stood up, finally against an apocalytpic fanatic sect" which is the "case with Iran today as it attempts to arm itself with nuclear arms and prepares for another Holocaust. As it denies the previous Holocaust".

Netanyahu supported the Israeli assault on Lebanon last year which can only be described as war crimes , yet Iran has not invaded any other country. If anybody deserves being arraigned before The Hague it is Netanyahu.

On 26th January CNN carried an article saying that Bush has given the go ahead for American troops in Iraq to kill Iranians there who could be involved in undermining Iraqi democracy and "hurting Iraqi people". It is a clear and unambiguous threat to any Iranians who may wish to make a pilgrimage to Islamic holy sites in Iraq and which, if realised would be a direct provocation to the Iranian people. This is after his long trailed 'surge' in troop  deployment to Iraq.

Previously, on 20th Dec 2006 blair gave a speech in Dubai calling for an "alliance of moderation" against Iran whom he caricatured as a "deadly" threat "openly" supporting terrorism in Iraq. (from Telegraph.co.uk ). The "alliance of moderation" blair is talking about is with the other vassal states in the region - the dictatorships of the Gulf mini-states and Saudi Arabia with whom corrupt deals have been made by British arms manufacturers. Deals which were being investigated for fraud by the police but scubbered before charges could be brought on the orders of blair.

Both Bush and blair do not seem to understand the hypocritic stupidity of such statements can easily be seen by anyone with a tiny bit of nous. It is glaringly obvious that they are responsible for the hellish, blood-soaked condition that is Iraq, it is after all due to the illegal invasion and occupation they justified, led and lead with lies.

Maybe they do understand and think they will be 'victorious' and write the history books. Or they just want to pass on the blame for the results of their criminality like the cowardly bullies they are, who caught in the act of bullying point to their victim and others nearby, using the puerile excuse, "It's them. Honest!"  Or they are so desperate with their failure undermining domestic support that the only way out they can see is to escalate the conflict and embroil the whole of the Middle East in a nuclear conflagration . Which is no way out at all but probably the beginning of the end of humanity. The end of a peopled planet.

No. Its not that, there is not an individualised psychological explanation for their bullying and blatant lies. Its about the globally dwindling resource of hydrocarbon energy and a business plan predicated on war; the geopolitics of securing what remains and the denying of it to competitors like China whilst making extraordinary profits. Classic imperialism - the one thing neither Bush or blair are willing to acknowledge even when standing naked before it.

War with Iran has been in the planning for a long time but the Psy-ops campaign preparing us for a war against the Islamic state has been stepped up another gear. Since last summer and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon a consistant stream of news reports and conjured stories about Muslim terrorists at home and abroad has dominated the TV screens and newspapers front pages.

On the 10th of August last year Muslim homes in Britain were raided and arrests were made on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks on at least 10 aeroplanes with liquid explosives. It has subsequently been shown that it is impossible for an amateur to mix liquid explosives on a plane and nearly so for an expert. I've previously written at some length and produced a time line upto 30.10.06 about the various anti-Muslim news reports so won't go into more detail here except to refer to one incident in Miami.

On June 22nd last year, 5 Black Americans and 2 Haitians were arrest by the FBI in Miami. The 7 were suppossed to have been planning to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago. The group who believed in an odd mix of Chritianity and Islam, had been infiltrated by two paid informants of the FBI who claimed they were members of al Qaeda. The FBI funded the group with rent free accommodation, boots, cameras etc. but no explosives as non were ever asked for by those arrested. The so called plotters were so poor they required footware not explosives. It seems the FBI informants had a major role, if not the primary one in suggesting targets.

The whole process in this case reeks of a sting/entrapment operation conducted by the FBI. One of the FBI informants even got the accused to take the al Qaeda oath. In the words of a defence lawyer this action was; "induced by the government themselves in an effort to set these people up."  From washingtonpost.com.

The reason I'm mentioning this is to do with the recent police raids in Birmingham that apprehended 9 people allegedly involved in an incredulous plot to kidnap a Muslim member of the British Army, video his beheading and post the footage on the internet. I'm not trying to say that this was definitely a set up, but it could be. It could also be true. In the murky world of spies and espionage in a time of war anything is possible. As it was British intelligence were involved initially with surveillance of the alleged kidnappers beginning six months prior to their arrest.

The fact those arrested are of Pakistani antecedents could mean the involvement of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence which was set up and is run by the CIA. Both the ISI and CIA were involved in setting up, funding and training al Qaeda operatives in the 1980s to fight the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. As well as running heroin then and now .

The speed with which the police and/or security services leaked specifics of what had been foiled to their press contacts, including leaked indoor photos of the alleged terrorists premises, was staggering and only served to enhance sensationalist reporting and deepen fear of the Other. These events and pronouncements cannot be separated out from the mobilisation of more military forces to the Persian Gulf, Eastern Mediterranean and Afghanistan.

Besides the 'surge' in troops another naval Battle Group has set sail from America to join those already in the Gulf. A US naval strike group has passed through the Suez Canal in the last week heading for the Gulf. USA 'poised to strike at Iran's nuclear sites' from bases in Bulgaria and Romania . More American troops are being requested for Afghanistan which would help in a second front on Iran's eastern border. Requests are being made for European nations via NATO to supply more soldiers to the Afghanistan theatre. Reports that Turkey has massed troops on the northern Iraqi border. US war planes have been deployed to the Incirlik airbase in Turkey, the first time for 3 years. NATO has a fleet under German command in the eastern Mediterranean ostensibly to blockade arms getting to Hezbollah, as well as troops on the ground in Lebanon.

These military maneuverings could just be the application of psychological pressure on Iran to accept the 23.12.06 resolution of the United Nations Security Council . But if not, will British forces be involved in any attack? I don't know but assume that the RAF will be a small part of the attack if it is initiated by the USA and not Israel. If an attack starts with an Israeli onslaught and Iran responds, then I expect the RAF to become involved. The troops in theatre in Iraq, and Afghanistan with NATO may just be used to try and secure the borders, though this could prove to be impossible if the Iraqi and Afghani peoples decide to get involved by attacking the occupying forces in strength.

There are three ways that I will be judging when an attack on Iran is imminent. The first is when the Divine Strake exercise is actioned. Divine Strake is a bomb test to be conducted at the USA's nuclear test site facility in the Nevada desert. It uses convential explosives, if by convential you consider the detonation of 700 tons of ammonia nitrate a conventional explosion. The bomb is designed to simulate a low yield nuclear explosion, 0.7 kilotons, and analyse the effect on command and control bunkers buried deep beneath the earth, or in this case Iran's nuclear processing sites. Its a means to get around the nuclear test ban treaty and see how the new generation of bunker busting mini-nukes perform. The exercise is slated for early 2007 and is causing great distress and concern amongst people living downwind .

The second is when this site goes down like it did the day the USA used an AC-130 gunship to kill nomads and newly weds in Somalia. The attack took place on Monday 08.01.07 at 5pm Somalia time which was 2pm in Britain, Somalia being 3 hours ahead of us. The router that my webmaster's server uses fell over at about 1.30pm. I know this because I had just posted an article to the site and was in the process of emailing and couldn't finish.The router carries 20% of all Britain's internet traffic, a massive volume. This site didn't come up again till approx 2.10pm. The site's not that important in the overall scheme of things, but being suspicious by nature and recognising that the Pentagon is carrying through the neocons plan of 'full spectrum dominance' and the internet being part of their 'battle space', the denying of the web to their perceived enemies at crucial points in time, is a priority.

To be fair to the site's webmaster, he did say that the timing of the loss of the router was very close to the action in Somalia but to have been more effective they should have waited another 15 to 20 minutes. It seems that the major sites which use the router, including the BBC were up and running again within a few minutes, if not seconds and the router picked up the traffic threads of the rest one by one over a period of between 10 and 20 minutes. This site being one of the last to be picked up. I would certainly like to know if others had a similar experience around about the same time.

The third judgement call is when spook activity starts increasing around me and which has been the case over the last few days. There are two ways of shadowing people. One is surreptitiously, which I think was the case during my time working for the now defunct Communist Party of Great Britain (New Politics Network history ). Probably by MI5 or Special Branch agents within the CP. The other is to let the target know they are being shadowed as a form of Psy-ops to disrupt and frighten them. It is the latter that has been the modus operandi since 2003. If not done by agents then by those corrupted by them with cash or lies.

As I am not a physical threat to anybody due to the weakness that the multiple sclerosis has left me with and which will become more so over time, the spooks activity can only be explained by what I know, what I think and maybe who I know. Putting such thoughts and knowledge in writing on the internet must really frighten the establishment's lackeys.

So after rambling about my personal experience, what can be done collectively to halt this drive to further madness and the possibility of a nuclear attack against Iran. In the immediate short-term there is a demonstration coming up in London on 24th February called by Stop the War Coalition, CND and the British Muslim Initiative. In the longer term sustained non-violent mass participatory civil disobedience and direct action has to be organised throughout civil society - see previous essay Gardening, Climate Change and Civil Society.

More than 80% of the British population want our troops out of Iraq and no extension of the war to Iran.
